Search online videos from ExpressionEngine
Video Player lets you search videos from the Internet, right from the ExpressionEngine Control panel. Select the video that you want to use from the results in order to add it to one of your entries.
You can also access the meta data video from your template tags, thanks to the API support. Video Player tags let you display details about video title, thumbnail, description, duration, play count, and more... See the documentation for the full list of supported meta data.
Please note that for now, video search & API support are only working with Youtube and Vimeo. For other video services, you will have to provide the video page URL.
HTML5 & Mobile ready
Video Player plays nice with HTML5 & mobile devices like the iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch. But actually, you don't care ! It's handled automatically as long as the video service is offering an universal embed tag.
The add-on uses the universal iFrame embed tag that YouTube, Vimeo & Dailymotion are providing for HTML5 support & Flash fallback.
